apologies to my 85 fans that my art output has been slow lately, theres a lot of drawings and stuff im working on that i either havent finished or im not happy with, and also college is kinda takin over my life rn lol. theres also been a lot of development on the worldbuilding for my game, which im takin my time with because i kinda realized if i want this game to be the best it can be, im gonna have to like really get on the game dev grind and get better at programming. i dont think i mentioned here but im no longer planning to make my game a web based one, since making it web based is now too limiting for what i want to make. it really comes down to the fact that the story is gonna be super personal to me, and its developed a lot more past the initial 3 boss demo concept i had, so instead of making a little self contained web game, its gonna be a full fledged legitimate experience... someday. but before i do any of that im setting my mind to different, smaller projects so i can really work on programming.

SO for the new plan, im gonna start working on a small game that'll be much easier to make optimized for a browser, and itll be one where i feel much more happy with doing a small proof of concept thing, since it wont feel like im having to cut so much down, and also itll be much simpler to program since itll just be a papers please-esque thing. so i wont have to worry about physics and bullet calculations, lol.

on the audio front, for the 3 people who have listened to my music, i have a lot of good tracks that ive been slowly grinding away on that just arent finished yet. the good news is that like every time i make a new track im pretty happy with it and i feel like ive definitely improved since when i started like 9 months ago lol. also its been a very interesting journey making music on my pc considering im horrible at playing actual irl instruments, including the piano lmao

anyway i have plans for this guy but it aint gonna be for a long while. though he is in the same universe as the smoogler, who WILL appear in the new little game im gonna start working on...

anyway this was kind of a rambly post but who caaaares

workin on somethin for pixel day... i kinda struggled getting the motivation for it especially since its my biggest most complex piece yet, but im gonna try my darndest to get this thing done and uploaded on pixel day.

heres what ive got so far. ignore the weird pixel size on the dude in front i scaled him up a bit lol. also i did cut out a full guy from this art in order to size it down a bit. toughest thing so far has been the lighting, cuz im not great with lighting yet. also i think this is my first piece of art that i'll be uploading that ive used my new drawing tablet with!! (thanks @TomFulp!!)

Heya, its me, babydash65 / local fungus / zin1x. I've been working on a game for a while now, but the programming side is very lacking. Which is why I need help. Mainly, I'm looking for a programmer who is good at following what I need for my game, as I already have a lot of it designed (Though, as always, things can change). Now, why should you program for me, may you ask? Well, because this game I'm cooking up will make NG history!!! I fully intend on making a 4-8 hour long metroidvania experience playable within browsers, with a pretty heavy story and deep lore to boot. Now, i shall provide a rundown of the ideas I have for the game, trying to minimize spoilers the best I can.

• Deep story
• Rich lore with interesting characters
• Unique combat system focused around status effects
• High difficulty
• Difficult bullet hell-like bossfights based off of the Calamity Infernum Mod for Terraria

honestly its really refreshing actually putting time into a piece of art and posting it and NOT getting drowned in the sea of posts from people with millions more followers than you. they say the internet is dead but homies aint visiting the smaller, more cool epic internet sites like newgrounds,,..,,.

oh also, i am still working on my epic not so secret game... rn all i have is a super basic build with movement, shooting, and a half-working special attack. im going thru college rn for computer science 2 hopefully learn a lot better how to program so that i can make this epic game. im planning on releasing it here on newgrounds for free, and its gonna be a relatively full experience (im shooting for about 4-6 hours maybe). ofc things are subject to change (except for it being free), so know that the teasers and stuff i put out might not be 100% accurate to the final product!!!! hopefully i'll be able to get it done by the time im done with college lol.
